Ross has been chosen as one of NAN’s Health Career Role Models representing his community. He is a member of the Moose Cree First Nation. Ross was raised in Moose Factory as a child and enjoyed living off the land. Ross recently graduated from CDI College in Thunder Bay as a Pharmacy Technician. Ross has completed a two-year program compressed into one. The workload was intense at times, but Ross managed to maintain balance with school and family. His spouse was also attending Lakehead University during this time. There were times when it was hard for them both, trying to study and tend to their children’s needs, but they managed to provide for their children and maintain high grades with much dedication. After one full year Ross had still maintained his commitment to his studies. After all the hard work and determination he graduated with honours for maintaining a 90% overall average in the Pharmacy Technician program. Ross has displayed commitment and determination to complete his studies with a high average and plans to continue his schooling after taking a little time off to work. His future plans, are to go back to school and study to become a Pharmacist. After graduating, he plans to return to Moose Factory and provide this much needed service to his community. Ross has proven to be a hard worker and is fully dedicated to creating a solid foundation for his sons and other youth to look to for inspiration. He is a wonderful father and definitely an excellent role model to youth, his friends and family. We wish you much success and congratulations! |
