Health Career Role Model: Mary Lee Boissoneau

Mary Lee has been chosen as one of NAN’s Health Career Role Models representing her community.  She is a member of Mattagami First Nation.

Mary Lee has graduated from the RPN program and received her BScN nursing degree.  She is currently in her 4th year as a Medical student at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine in Sudbury.

During Mary Lee’s schooling she has managed to juggle school and two newborn children who have always kept her motivated.  Mary Lee has faced many challenges over the years which have made her stronger and committed to achieve.  She is a very dedicated mother and individual who lets nothing get in her way.

Mary Lee has proven to others that, “There is no obstacle that can get in your way, when you have a goal in life”. She is a true Role Model.
