Physiotherapists assess musculoskeletal problems that patients have and design a plan for recovery. Methods include massage with hands, mechanical treatment such as ultrasound, and naturanl methods such as heat and cold therapy. Educating clients about proper stretching and posture is also a big part of a physiotherapist job, including showing clients the proper way to stretch.
Duties of a Phystiotherapist:
- Assess clients for musculoskeletal injury and see referral from physicians.
- Develop a treatment plan that will suit individual clients.
- Implement a treatment plan using massage/stretching, mechanical, and natrual methods.
- Educate the client on ways to avoid similar injury in the future.
Personality Requirements:
Physiotherapists must have good listening and speaking skills in order to interpret the concerns of the client and communicate a treatment strategy.

Education: 6 Years Post-Secondary Education
4 year university degree from an accredited Public Health Inspector Program.
After taking the program, all potential inspectors must become certified by meeting the exam requirements of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors.
